Eric Tennen joined the law firm in 2004. In 2007, he was named a Rising Star Super Lawyer. His work focuses on trial and appellate practice. He also represents clients Imagebefore administrative bodies. He is certified by CPCS to take appointed cases in criminal, appellate, and civil commitment matters.

Attorney Tennen has won the release of several persons facing civil commitment pursuant to G.L. chapter 123A as a sexually dangerous person. He has successfully represented clients before the Sex Offender Registry Board by having their classification levels lowered. Attorney Tennen has even been on several Continuing Legal Education panels as an expert in Sex Offender Registration practice. He has also worked alongside Attorney John Swomley in successfully defending persons charged with serious felonies in both State and Federal court.

Attorney Tennen teaches Legal Research and Writing for first year law students at Boston University School of Law.

Attorney Tennen is admitted to the Massachusetts and New Hampshire State Bars, along with the Federal District Court of Massachusetts Bar. He is also a member of the Massachusetts Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. As well, attorney Tennen is on the Board of Directors for the Criminal Justice Policy Coalition.

From 2002-2003, Attorney Tennen clerked for the High Court of American Samoa in the South Pacific. From 2001-2002, he clerked for the Honorable Justice John Mason at the Massachusetts Appeals Court.

Attorney Tennen received an LLM in Criminal Law from the University of Buffalo School of Law in 2004. He graduated magna cum laude from Boston University School of Law in 2001. He has a B.A., with distinction, from the University of Michigan from 1998.
